On July 30, 2003 over one-hundred leaders from across the state gathered in Denver to discuss ways to mitigate the impact that a series of constitutional amendments have on Colorado's state and local government's budgets.  The sponsors of the Colorado 100 specifically sought to recruit a diverse pool of participants; representing a wide range of geographic and economic interests. The Colorado 100 Final Report below contains the results of the original meeting in Denver.

The success of the original meeting gave life to others across Colorado. By March of 2004, similar Colorado 100 meetings had been held in cities and towns spanning the state, from Lamar to Grand Junction and Fort Collins to Durango. In all, over 700 participants took part. The final results of all the statewide meetings are presented below in the Colorado 100 Statewide Report.
